DESCRIPTION:Universiti Tun Abdul Razak (UNIRAZAK) participated in  the recent \"Debat Perpaduan Ala Parlimen\" competition organised by the  Department Of Unity & Integration Malaysia, reaching the quarter  finals. The event took place from 16 to 20 October 2010 and was held at  Universiti Malaysia Perlis.
A total of 22 debate teams from prominent  Malaysian universities participated in the event. In its run to 2nd  place after 6 rounds, Universiti Tun Abdul Razak debated with  universities such as Universiti Putra Malaysia, Universiti Sains  Malaysia, Universiti Malaysia Sabah, Universiti Multimedia, Universiti  Islam Antarabangsa Malaysia and Universiti Teknology Mara. Some of the  debates that Universiti Tun Abdul Razak won were \'Kempen Perpaduan:  Sekadar Melepaskan Batuk Di Tangga\' (Campaign of Unity), \'Perpaduan Kaum  di Malaysia Masih Di Takuk Lama\' (Malaysian Unity is still in the  Past), \'Politik Punca Kerapuhan Perpaduan\' (Politics Prevents Unity) and  \'Politik Berasaskan Kaum Perlu Dimansuhkan\' (Race-based Politics should  be Repealed). UNIRAZAK\'s quarterfinal match was against Universiti  Kebangsaan Malaysia.
Universiti Tun Abdul Razak sent 2 teams to  the competition: a primary team comprised of 4 students and a reserve  team from all faculties. The primary team consisted of Joshua Apau  Kasulai, Aizuddin Bin Ghazali, Jushua Meta Anak Nully, and Vasagi A/P  Natarajan. The reserve team consisted of Nurzahidatulhikmah bt Sulaimi,  Mohd Rashid bn Mohd Shahar, Cassidy Tiken, Mohd Hasman Fairus B. Othman  and Nasruddin Abd Hakim. As per previous events of this nature, the  competition was held to instill the spirit of unity in each student, who  came from various races and ethnic backgrounds. It was also an outlet  for students to gain more knowledge in the development challenges and  issues that our country is facing. The final winner was Multimedia  University (MMU) who won against Universiti Tun Hussein Onn (UTHM).
