  New Student Pass and / or Visa Application
 

GUIDELINES FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS

 

International Student Unit (ISU) assists all international students in matters pertaining to their studies while at Universiti Tun Abdul Razak. The scope of services offered include registration, course counselling, student pass/visa application, airport pick-up and immigration procedures.

All international students are required to produce an approval letter from the Immigration Department of Malaysia on entering Malaysia and possess a valid student pass and/or visa while studying in Malaysia. ISU will assist new international students to obtain the approval letter and student pass and/or visa.
 

New Student Pass and / or Visa Application

 

1.

ISU will ensure that the student fulfills the entry requirements of the University in order to obtain an Offer Letter*. Students must fully understand the terms of payment of the University and the immigration procedures of Malaysia.

*The offer of placement is subjected to the verification of certified true copies provided:

1) Academic certificates; 2) English Proficiency (ie TOEFL/IELTS); 3) Age; 4) Valid passport; 5) Application Form

Students must pay a Processing Fee of **RM20 (approximately USD$7) for Foundation/ Diploma/ Bachelor Degree programmes or **RM50 (approximately USD$15) for Postgraduate programmes' application.

Before coming to Malaysia, all international students must pay RM2000 as international fee by 1) Telegraphic Transfer to the university's Malayan Banking Berhad (Maybank) account number : 562357108826 (Kelana Jaya Branch) Swift Code: MBBEMYKL or 2) Bank Draft make payable to : UNIVERSITI TUN ABDUL RAZAK SDN BHD (Address: Student Account Management Department, Block C, Leisure Commerce Square, No.09, Jalan PJS 08/09, 46150 Petaling Jaya , Selangor Darul Ehsan, Malaysia ) or 3) by giving details on your credit card numbers, MASTER or VISA only, expiry date, and *security code numbers (*the last 3 digits of the numbers at the back of the credit card) by email to: css@pintar.unirazak.edu.my and sam@pintar.unirazak.edu.my or fax to: +603 - 7627 7444 ( Centre for Student Services Dept ) and +603 - 7627 7267 (Student Account Management Dept).

To expedite the proof of payment made/sent, it is very important that students must email the bank-in slips or photocopy of the bank draft together with details of student's name, nationality, passport number, contact telephone and fax numbers, email address and programme offered by the university to the above mentioned departments' email addresses or fax numbers.
 
 
 
 

3.

ISU will submit the payment and the required documents to the Immigration Department of Malaysia

*The Immigration Department would require the followings:

1)**RM380 (approximately USD$120); 2) Offer Letter from the University; 3) Academic Certificates; 4) Photocopy passport (all pages); 5) Four Passport-sized coloured Photographs; 6) Health Examination Report (please click here for details)

ISU will courier the Approval Letter to the successful student.

 
 

5.

ISU will inform the successful student to submit their travel itinerary at least 7 days before arrival at the University. Every student is required to complete the Health Examination Report Form prior to their arrival.

6.

ISU will collect the successful student's passport for Immigration's endorsement and a duplicate copy of the passport will be certified. This will be given to the student with an Official Letter and the student pass and/or visa processing.

 

7.

ISU will submit the student's original passport to the Immigration Department for endorsement. The processing will take approximately one month.

 

8.

ISU will collect the passport from the Immigration Department and the student will then be informed to collect his/her passport from the ISU.

 

** All processing fees are non-refundable
