Introduction

This is an intermediate level of the three proficiency courses offered by the Center for Languages. It incorporates the four basic skills; Reading, Writing, Speaking and Listening.  In addition, students will also be taught the principles of grammar so that the study of the language is more meaningful.  Students are expected to play an active role in the learning process.

Objectives

At the end of the course, learners will be able to:

1. Listen and understand lectures in English.
2. Read and answer questions on given texts.
3. Write appropriately and confidently.

Expectation(s) of Course Leader

Students are able to communicate with friends and lecturers in the target language comfortably and confidently.
