OVERVIEW
The history of the development of the Graduate School of Business goes beyond ten years when it was known as the Centre for Graduate Studies.In 1998 the Centre for Graduate Studies was established to coordinate postgraduate studies and research activities at Universiti Tun Abdul Razak. In 2008 under the university's continuous improvement initiatives it was restructured and named as the Graduate School of Business (GSB). This is to realize the university's aspiration to be a centre that provides high quality education and training of managerial leaders with internationally acclaimed recognitions and accreditations. As a centre of excellence in postgraduate business education, the GSB specializes in providing business and management related programs which are relevant and purposeful in meeting the current and future needs of the industry. The programs are designed to provide real world practical learning experiences that incorporate both hard and soft skills as well as to be intellectually challenging with well-grounded theories on business and management. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Syed Musa Syed Jaafar Alhabshi, Dean of the GSB says, "Being a relatively new addition to a stable of new schools in the newly restructured Universiti Tun Abdul Razak, we are very pleased and excited to be able to assist and serve our existing as well as potential students who yearn for new and state of the art knowledge in the business and business related areas. The Graduate School of Business has a very good blend of local as well as international lecturers and professors. All our lecturers and professors are PhD holders with vast experience in teaching, research and industry. We at the Graduate School of Business strongly believe that our environment and our academic staff will enrich and enhance the learning experience of our students."

Such programmes include MBA (Global Islamic Finance), MBA (Retail and Hypermarket), Master in Business Administration (Specialisation in Entrepreneurship), Master in Strategic Human Resource Management, Master of Management, Master of Science (Management) and Doctor of Philosophy (Management), and MBA (Strategic Leadership). These programmes help ensure that current working professionals can updates themselves with the latest industry knowledge that fits their current career.
