About Us

The UNIRAZAK Case Writers Club recruited 19 founding members from the first group of lecturers who completed case writing trainings on 8 December 2007 and 29 th February 2008. The Protem Committee was led by the Chairman YM Assoc. Prof. Datin Dr. Raja Hanaliza Raja Ahmad Tajudin.

UNIRAZAK Case Writers Club was officially launched on 6 March 2009. When it was officially launched by YBhg. Prof. Datuk Dr. Md. Zabid Abdul Rashid, the Patron of the Club and President and Vice Chancellor of UNIRAZAK, the Club had 22 members with only 3 publishable cases. However, the interest among the academics of the university in writing cases and the case method of teaching has increased tremendously since then. The Club welcomed 25 new members from the second group that completed similar trainings on 19 August 2009 and 6 January 2010. On 5 May, the members witnessed the launching of UNIRAZAK Case Writers Club's New Logo, Website and 1st Volume of 21 cases and the release of its 2nd Volume of 24 cases in January 5, 2011. As a result of the initiatives and concerted efforts taken by the club with the financial support of the university to train new members including organising case writing workshops, the club membership has swelled to 46 with 37 cases. With the separation of the two UNIRAZAK campuses in August 2011 and the establishment of UMTECH, most of the Club members are now in UMTECH and the Club has to appoint new committee members among the existing members in UNIRAZAK.

The club mission is to foster excellence in Case Research, Writing and Teaching.
