Muhamad had recently obtained his bachelors' degree from the Universiti Tun Abdul Razak and was now the manager of the steward department at the Inn International Hotel. As the Steward Manager, Muhamad;s major responsibility was to monitor the flow of all cutlery and chinaware to ensure that they were sufficient for all functions held at the hotel. He was also responsible for ordering replacements for any items that short in supply. When he took over the job, he found that various items were often in short supply, the cost of replacement was escalating and the staff of the restaurant and the banquet room were often at loggerheads over the cutlery and chinaware. So he began an investigation to identify the source of the problem.
