Kuala Lumpur, Tuesday (2nd August 2016) – In conjunction with the 28th Syawal 1437H, Universiti Tun Abdul Razak (UNIRAZAK) hosted a Majlis Salam Mesra Aidilfitri at Razakian Hall, Level 2, Us NIRAZAK, Jalan Tangsi, Kuala Lumpur.
Hari Raya marks the joy and victory after Muslims fast for a month during Ramadhan. Thus, Unirazak gave a special treat to all the staff in UNIRAZAK to enjoy and strengthen the relations among the ‘ummah’. Present at the event was also, Guest of Honour, YB Datuk Seri Idris Jusoh, Higher Education Minister, YBhg. Datuk Abdul Jalil Hamid, NSTP Group Managing Editor, YBhg. Dato’ Wan Ismail Wan Yusoh, Business Advisor for Bank Islam Malaysia Berhad and Encik Abdul Yazid bin Yaacob, Branch Manager for Bank Rakyat, Jalan Tangsi, Kuala Lumpur.
At the event, the guests were served with various delicacies such as lemang, satay and rendang. The guests were entertained by performances from Dewangga Sakti Band and students. Bank Islam also presented a ‘zakat’ to Universiti Tun Abdul Razak (UNIRAZAK) and the mock cheque was presented by YBhg. Dato’ Wan Ismail Wan Yusoh to YBhg. Prof. Datuk Seri Dr. Md. Zabid Abdul Rashid, President and Vice Chancellor of UNIRAZAK. Meanwhile, Bank Rakyat also presented the ‘zakat’ to Yayasan Cemerlang that will be distributed to the students of UNIRAZAK. The mock cheque was presented by Encik Abdul Yazid bin Yaacob to YBhg. Prof. Datuk Seri Dr. Md. Zabid Abdul Rashid, who is also Board of Trustees, Yayasan Cemerlang.
The programme was also attended by a representative from the Ministry of Higher Education and members of the media. The Aidilfitri feast continued until 4.00 p.m.
